With a two-hole dramatic play-off in Division C, the first Cape Kaliakra Open golf tournament was held near Kavarna. The Romanians Cristian Tardia and Vernel Crachunescu finished the three races with an equal number of points and after the playoffs on the 18th and the 1st hole Tardea managed to win the first place.
Third is Nikolay Nankov. Petar Stratiev won the race in Division A after he did not give up the top position throughout the competition and gathered 117 points from the three rounds played on the gold courses Lighthouse, BlackSeaRama and Thracian Cliffs. Second is Dimitar Savov, a 13-year-old, with 116 points, and third is Fabio Furnari with 110 points. In the women’s ratings, the 11-year-old Riveka Niederhan held the lead position from the first to the last round and took the big prize with a total of 117 points. Her runners-up became Catalina Jigman with 114 and Kim Sung Ree with 110 points. The 9-year-old Alex Kim took the prize for the youngest contestant in the tournament, and for the oldest – Dimitar Shterev.
